A note from us

After nine-and-a-half years, we cannot wait to celebrate with you in Langeais on September 5, 2026. Every one of you has been part of and witness to our story. I do not remember when I first noticed Analea, but I do remember the Bates dining hall suddenly being the most exciting part of my day. Would that cute first year be there? What should I do if she is? Dylan first caught my eye from across Commons. His high-top converse, striped tee, and authentic smile… I mean, swoon. Not knowing his name, I simply referred to him as “cartilage piercing boy” and “Charlie Puth.” After months of eyeing each other across campus, when we were introduced we fell for each other fast. Little did Dylan know, he would soon be falling from the sky even faster. After a whirlwind Short Term, I was desperate to convince Analea to stay with me while I studied abroad. In July, Analea presented me with an almost perfect opportunity when she asked me to go skydiving for her 19th birthday. The only catch: I had to actually go skydiving. I can still picture the text coming in. With butterflies flooding my stomach, I read his reply: “No, but yes.” To this day, that year is still my favorite birthday. On the other hand, if you ask Dylan, he will tell you he is not likely to ever go skydiving again. I am happy to say, skydiving worked. In July, eight years after our fateful jump, Dylan proposed to me in Wellfleet. Six moves, five apartments, four states, and one MoMo later, our relationship has been shaped by many wonderful people and communities. You are our closest family and friends, and there is no one we would rather celebrate with. The countdown to September 5 starts now! Analea & Dylan November 22, 2025 Nantucket, MA
