Question

Can we bring kids or pets?

Answer

As much as we love kids and pets, we respectfully ask that you help in keeping this an adult-only celebration! However, there will be a trusted babysitter in a separate area close to the adult-only activities. Thank you for respecting our policy.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says +1, then yes.

Question

What will the weather be like at the wedding?

Answer

September is a unique time of year, it could be warm and sunny or cold and snowing. Plan for winter, just in case- we suggest wearing layers. But be on the lookout for updates the week of the wedding. Usually we have an idea if there will be snow about 10 days in advance.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal attire please, but also consider the weather.

Question

What's the best way to get around?

Answer

The easy answer is going to be renting a car. But we are exploring options like shuttles for day-of transportation. Lyft/ Uber are convenient to get to the mountains, but once you're in the mountains, Uber/ Lyft are not options.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Please stay at Goldminer's Daughter Lodge, see the 'Travel' section for additional information. If you are interested in staying here, you must call 801-742--2300 or email liz@skigmd.com to reserve your room. Since it is the off season, bookings cannot be made online.

Question

Can you explain the distance between Park City and Alta and Salt Lake City?

Answer

Salt Lake City is about 30 minutes from Park City. Alta is about 35 minutes from Salt Lake City. And Alta is about 55 minutes from Park City.

Question

Can we carpool?

Answer

We absolutely encourage people to carpool to and from the wedding as well as to and from their hotels!

Question

What's the elevation in Utah?

Answer

The wedding ceremony in Park City is at about 7000' and the reception is in Alta, UT, which is about 8000'. Its usually colder at elevation, so plan accordingly! If you're staying in Salt Lake valley, the elevation is closer to 4300'.

Question

What route should we take from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

When driving from St Mary's Catholic Church to Alta Peruvian Lodge on September 26th, we recommend taking the scenic route through Big Cottonwood Canyon via Guardsman Pass. Its 30 minutes slower than taking I-80, but for out of towners, it's well worth the drive!

Question

What activities are fun in Utah?

Answer

See 'Things to Do' Tab!

Question
