Love Park
A classic Philly landmark, you can stop by Love Park and take a photo in front of the famous sign. Kevin took Amy here almost 10 years ago during her first visit to Philly and look where they are now! Must be some magic in the sign I suppose.
Philadelphia Museum of Art
Kevin is a big fan of museums and this is one of his favorite places in the city. Come for the great art or to run up the stairs blasting the Rocky theme song in your own workout montage (video proof required if attempted).
Dalessandro's Steaks
A perennial question - what is our favorite cheesesteak place? Well, our favorite place, Jim's on South Street, was engulfed by flames not too long ago. All that grease finally caught up to them. While they rebuild, Dalessandro's is a good substitute. In regards to the question of Pat's vs Geno's - we choose the third option of eating at home.
Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
Independence Hall is cool if you like history. Liberty Bell is cool if you like being underwhelmed.
Free at Noon at World Cafe Live
Are you getting into Philadelphia early Friday? Well, if you're there before noon on Friday, you can head to World Cafe Live for their weekly Free at Noon show where some (relatively) large (indie-ish) artists play a free show at lunch time. You can check ahead of time who the artist is on their website, but we've always had a good time at these even if we didn't think we were going to like the artist, so we recommend going with an open mind. You're supposed to RSVP ahead of time the week of on their site, but if you forgot or were too late, just walk up to the front and say your name with confidence and then act befuddled when your name is not on the list. Strong chance you can get in anyways.
