What is the dress attire?

Answer

We request garden/semi-formal dress attire for our wedding. Suggestions include flowy or floral dresses for women and light colored suits for men. With that in mind, we encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel good! As the ceremony takes place on grass, we recommend avoiding pointed heels unless you're hell bent on aerating the soil.

Will there be transportation?

Answer

We will be providing transportation from the hotels in our blocks to the wedding venue via shuttle coaches. Pick up time for Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District and Marriott Old City is at 3:15PM. Please be ready and waiting in the lobby. There will be waves of shuttles bringing guests back to the hotels starting at 10PM. If you prefer to drive yourself, there is complimentary valet service available at the wedding venue. If you are unable to drive home, you can leave your car at the venue overnight and pick it up in the morning. You are welcome to start arriving at the venue at 4PM. The ceremony will be at 4:30PM, however the air-conditioned mansion and grounds are available while you're waiting.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony - no phones or cameras. That way we get to see all of your lovely faces and all be fully present as we say our I do's. We have hired professionals to capture this moment, so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do. However, we are unable to accommodate children at this event.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. Therefore, only those listed on your formal invitation are invited to attend. We thank you for your understanding!

How should I RSVP?

Answer

The RSVP deadline has now passed, we thank everyone for their responses. We are unable to change meal requests at this time. If an emergency occurs and you need to change your RSVP, please email us at amyandkevincarney@gmail.com.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

As it is August, you may expect hotter weather during the day. Average highs tend to be in the 80s, with lows of 60-70s at night. Because we're right on the water, you can hopefully expect a cool, refreshing breeze throughout the day. As you would expect from a dermatologist - don't forget the sunscreen as the ceremony is outside!

I thought you were in Boston?

Answer

To be a dermatologist, you need one year of Internal Medicine training and three years of Dermatology training. We were in Boston for a year for Amy's Internal Medicine residency. Now, we're in central PA for the Dermatology training. At the time of the wedding, Amy will have two more years of Dermatology training.
