Wedding Party

Meet our longtime closest family and friends that are in the wedding party. They have been with us from beginning to the present and will be forever grateful our friends and family are with us today.

Pamela Niemczura

Matron of Honor

Pamela and Amy have been friends since elementary school. They became fast friends and spent hours together on weekends, weeknights, snow days, and summers. A love of music, movies, and general silliness has bonded them over several years. There was no question she would be a bridesmaid in the wedding.

Melissa Hodgson

Matron of Honor

Melissa (aka Missy) and Amy are also longtime friends from elementary school. Missy was friends with Pam, and was added in to the group. Soon, several more friends were added, coming from other schools, other towns, and strong bonds were formed. As with Pam, there was no way she wouldn't be a bridesmaid either.

Alyssa Shindell

Bridesmaid

The older sister of the groom. While both Friedberg children can be very stubborn, their love for each other is something only a brother and sister can have. Amy met Alyssa for the first time while Alyssa was in New Jersey for her baby shower and the two hit it off. As Alyssa soon told her brother, "I like her, she's wonderful. Don't mess this up."

Heather Reppert

Bridesmaid

Heather and Amy first met via videoconference during the infamous Philadelphia Union Happy Hour. Alike in disposition, interests, and, personalities a quick friendship was formed. Later on, they've done everything from prep for an above ground pool (tiller rental and all) to beach trips to becoming a keeper of secrets from both Amy and Justin.

Evelyn Ankers

Bridesmaid

Amy and Evelyn (aka Evy) also met via videoconference during Philadelphia Union Happy Hour. They bonded quickly over soccer, humor, and drinks. Eventually, the two were able to meet in person, and many good times were had. Sometimes too good. Despite warnings, yes, she's wearing wedges for the whole wedding day.

Courtney Shindell

Junior Bridesmaid

Courtney will be accompanying her brother Kodiak down the aisle for the ceremony.

Matthew Haag

Best Man

Matt and Justin met during freshman year science class at Cherokee High School and as two odd peas in a pod, hit it off right away. Part of Justin's core group of childhood friends, Matt has been there for Justin through many ups and downs over the years. Most stories involving these two usually involve the face palm and shrug from their partners but through all the goofiness, there is a strong bond that is clear from two very good people. Between the random jokes, long video game sessions, tee times or just hanging in the backyard over a few beers, one could not imagine a better friend and someone that Justin considers a brother.

Joseph Shewaski

Groomsman

Justin and Joe met during sophomore year spanish class. Often getting each other in trouble for not being quiet, the two friends hit it off and have spent many a time together over the years. Part of Justin's core group of childhood friends, Joe has been a good friend over the years. Joe has gotten Justin to expand his food palate and try all new types of wines, bourbons and other things that Justin may never have considered.

Alex Mosesku

Groomsman

Alex and Justin first crossed paths on their roller hockey team in the Playmore league over at the Marlton hockey rinks. Their initial bond of both being goalies in different sports sparked a natural curiousity that has blossomed into an amazing and tight friendship. Having now become a part of Justin's core group of friends, Alex has given Justin and his friends an amazing trove of memories that spans the golf course, breweries and many late nights over a firepit.

Sean Turley

Groomsman

Justin and Sean also met in that very same sophomore year Spanish class with Joe. Sean and Joe managed to get Justin in trouble a few times with their chatter. Despite this, Sean and Justin bonded over their love for all things Philadelphia sports. Part of Justin's core group of childhood friends, the two good friends have spent many a time playing on the same soccer and hockey teams over the years, developing a stronger bond. Sean and Justin have shared many a drink, memory and heartfelt conversation at many a tee time, brewery or late night firepit in someone's backyard.

Derek Fair

Groomsman

Derek and Justin first met during freshman orientation at York College. Their instant bond over all things nerdy became four years of many goofy adventures. Whether it be watching goofy movies, long gaming sessions that went into the wee hours, late night Sheetz or Rutters runs, or even fun adventures to places such as the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair, it became clear that Derek was a good person and a good friend. While life has certainly gotten busy for the two friends, it has not stopped them for continuing their love of all things nerdy. Derek and Justin have enjoyed many a memory over The Room, Evil Dead and many other movies/tv series that they have watched together over the years.

Harris Friedberg

Father of the Groom

Harris Friedberg, or "El Diablo" as he affectionately goes by, has been a guiding influence in Justin's life over the years. From travel soccer coach to lacrosse coach, Harris was always spotted on the sidelines of games shouting words of enouragement to his son. As the years have gone on, Justin has always been able to go to his father for all things in life such as wine, sports and the more important things, marriage.

Beth Friedberg

Mother of the Groom

Beth Friedberg has always been an important person in Justin's life. Whether it be helping him with a last minute project or doing cartwheels on the sidelines of his soccer games after he scored a goal, Beth has always made it clear that her children are an important part of her life. Even since moving several states away, nothing can keep Beth from checking in on her youngest child. Justin has had many challenges in his life and his mother has always been there to ensure that he has all the tools he'll need to overcome them.

Leah Dean

Mother of the Bride

Leah Dean is a retired elementary school teacher and loves to travel, read, and relax at her home in Northeast Pennsylvania. She often travels with friends and family (mostly her sisters) to the beaches of the East Coast and internationally with friends to places such as Turkiye, Japan, Vietnam, and the island of Bali in Indonesia. As a child, Leah instilled a love of reading and emphasized the values of independence and education. As the years went on, she drove to and from soccer practices (and games) and have traveled together to Egypt, France, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, and more.

George Dean

Father of the Bride

George Dean is an employee for the city of Chesapeake Virginia. In his spare time, he takes dance classes for the Carolina shag, and DJs Carolina shag dance clubs and events in Southern Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. As a child, George introduced Amy to the Philadelphia Flyers, and the love of ice hockey, Phillies Baseball, and the Washington Commanders lives on to this day. In return, Amy got her dad into London's Arsenal Football Club, and the Philadelphia Union, repaying him for the lifetime of sports misery that was given to her.

Kodiak Shindell

Ring Bearer

The newest addition to the Shindell/Friedberg family, Kodiak will be accompanied by his big sister Courtney down the aisle.
