Travel Note

Wedding Transportation

All of our wedding events will take place at Château de Lartigolle. Transportation will be provided between the accommodation options listed below and the château for our wedding events on Saturday and Sunday. If you choose to stay somewhere not included in this list, you’ll need to make your own arrangements for getting to and from the events if you are further than 20-25 minutes from the château. For this reason, we strongly recommend staying at one of the suggested accommodations.

Flight

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport

The nearest airport is Toulouse–Blagnac Airport (TLS), which is well connected to major UK and European cities. The château is approximately 1 hour’s drive from the airport. You can also travel by train to Auch, via Toulouse. From Auch, the château is around 20 minutes by car or taxi. Please note that taxis can be difficult to find from Auch train station, particularly at busy times, so it’s worth bearing this in mind when planning your onward travel and arranging transport in advance.

Flight

Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport

Slightly further away if you want to drive through wine country on your way and warm up for the weekend! There are more direct flights from UK cities, which may suit some travel plans.

Car rental is available directly from Toulouse Airport. A typical weekend rental costs approximately €80–€150, depending on the car type and when you book. There are loads of car rental companies set up at the airport, but booking in advance is recommended to allow for the best rates. Taxis and Transfers

Please note that Uber is available for journeys from Toulouse Airport to Auch or the château, but it is not available for return journeys or for local travel in the area. If you are arriving in Auch by train, taxis from the station into the town centre can be limited, so we recommend planning this part of your journey in advance. For return journeys to Toulouse Airport, we suggest pre-booking a taxi or using www.gettransfer.com, which previous guests have found to be reliable and good value. Auch’s main landmark hotel, in a great central location to explore the town. They have held a number of rooms for the wedding, so please mention that you are attending a wedding at Chateau de Lartigolle when you book. A great value, recently refurbished hotel close to our venue. They have also held a number of rooms for the wedding, so please mention that you are attending a wedding at Chateau de Lartigolle when you book. The hotel is around 10 minutes from the château. Barbarens - Maison d'hôtes

A newly renovated self catering gîte. It can accomodate 8 guests over 4 double bedrooms. During August, the whole gîte must be booked for a whole week, from Saturday to Saturday. Email: contact@barbarens.com
