We met on a sunny Easter Sunday in 2023, thanks to Hinge, and decided to meet for a drink by the river at the Oyster Shed. What was meant to be a quick catch-up turned into a long afternoon spent sitting in the sunshine, talking, laughing, and completely losing track of time. By the time Amy boarded the train home, it was clear this was the beginning of something special — and James didn’t wait long to suggest meeting again. A couple of years later, we returned to where it all began for what Amy thought was a celebratory evening. Drinks by the river led to cocktails and a romantic dinner, and before the night was over, James got down on one knee and asked Amy to marry him. And that brings us to today. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and time together, surrounded by the people we love most. Thank you so much for being part of this chapter with us — we can’t wait to eat, drink, dance, and make unforgettable memories as we celebrate becoming husband and wife.
We fell in love with Château de Lartigolle because it felt less like a traditional wedding venue and more like the perfect place to spend a weekend together. Set in the heart of the French countryside, it’s made for long lunches, poolside afternoons, great food, late nights, and leisurely mornings—exactly the kind of setting we hoped for. Rather than a single day, we wanted to create a full weekend to slow down, celebrate, and truly spend time with the people we love. No rushing, no logistics to worry about—just good food, flowing wine, music, laughter, and everyone together in one beautiful place. We know travelling takes time and effort, and we’re incredibly grateful to those of you making the journey. Having all our favourite people together for a weekend of celebration means more to us than we can say. We can’t wait to share relaxed days, lively nights, plenty of French wine, and memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. We’re so excited to celebrate with you at Château de Lartigolle.
