Well for one, we're getting married here. So you'll see it sooner or later. But beyond that, there's plenty to do right from the Lodge itself. Free kayak, canoe or paddle board rentals in addition to lake access, lawn games, bar games and a private pool. Plus the taproom is filled with snacks, meals and Vermont's finest beer.
Do you want to rent a boat? Silly question. Of course you do. Rent a boat for a few hours, a day or the weekend to fish or booze cruise. Let the Lodge know if you'd like to reserve a dock for the weekend then come and go as you please. (They've got kayaks and paddle boards, too)
A few hiking trails leave from the state park, but there's also a beach, views and plenty of nature to explore.
Don't judge a book by its cover. It's not much to look at from the street, but the lake views from this place are top notch. Just a few minutes drive up the road from the Lodge.
Some easy walks, great views and Japanese gardens just a couple minutes drive from the Lodge.
Supposedly a very nice hike we drove to, got out of the car and quickly got back in and drove off from because we realized it was hunting season and we didn't want to get shot. But you should totally check it out. It's a little tricky to find, but if you think you're lost, just keep driving.
A 9-hole course located right across the street from the Lodge. It's cheap and they've got rental clubs, so hack away.
Connected to Bomoseen Golf Club, this restaurant is (obviously) also across the street from the Lodge, for when you want to switch up your dining options or view of the lake.
These guys make great hard ciders.
Sure sure, it's a ski area. But Killington has mountain biking, rock climbing and a bunch of other great summer activities as well.
Quaint little college town about a half an hour north of the Lodge. Doesn't get much more Vermont than this.
This course is owned and operated by Middlebury College and is supposed to be a gem.
This is a divey bowling alley in Rutland. Exactly half of the people partaking in the weekend's wedding ceremony love a divey bowling alley.
