FAQs

Please review these answers regarding our wedding events! If you have a question that isn’t listed, please text us- we’d love to chat all things wedding! Note that after Thursday, October 7th we will not be accessible.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you’re reading this, now is the time! We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 24th, 2027. After this date, we will sadly have to assume that you will not be joining us.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend you arrive by 1:45pm as our ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm. Our ceremony is located in a public park so please plan accordingly to find a parking spot and walk to the Piper Palm House.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our friends and family dress up with us! We are requesting cocktail attire (semi-formal) for our wedding. Think nicer dresses or jumpsuits for the ladies and slacks with a collared shirt for men. If you would like to coordinate, our wedding colors will be terracotta orange, mulberry, and champagne.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be indoors and our reception will be outdoors. The reception will be under a gazebo and is also fitted with tents and a large outdoor fireplace to keep us all warm throughout the evening.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We want everyone to be fully present with us during our wedding ceremony! Please allow our wedding photographer to capture the best pictures of us, which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this will be an adult only occasion. All parties invited to our ceremony and reception will be listed on your invitation. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a date night and we appreciate you making prior arrangements.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can accommodate only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one, it will appear on your invite as well as the RSVP. We want to keep our wedding intimate with close friends and family!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks will be on us, but the hangover is on you. Please drink responsibly - STL offers a suite of services like Uber and Lyft to help you get home after the fun.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Our ceremony venue does offer free parking as it is located in a public park. That said, please arrive with enough time to find parking and walk to the ceremony space. Our reception has both street parking and a parking lot to the left side of the Lemp mansion.

Question

Now the real question, what will we be eating?

Answer

Our reception will be served buffet style with selections of chicken and beef. If you have dietary restrictions, please reach out to us for accommodations.

Question

Why is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Because we aren’t taking pictures before the ceremony start, we will be reserving the 2 hour block between our ceremony and reception for the wedding party and close family to take pictures. During this time, please feel free explore St Louis - peruse the “things to do” page for more ideas!
