In the era of online dating, ours is really a tale as old as time with a swipe right. Maddi had moved to St. Louis from Montana three months prior and was hoping to meet new people to explore the city with. Little did she know, the “city” that Joe would show her in the coming months included Staunton, IL - a town of less than 10k people. They spent the next 10 months commuting back forth between rural Illinois and bustling St Louis; attending holiday parades, exploring breweries and restaurants, and finding fun wherever we could. This first year of our relationship solidified Maddi as a certified Midwesterner with Joe serving as travel buddy and tour guide to all things STL. We’ve since moved in together, adopted another cat, and ultimately chosen each other in each moment - learning and growing together as individuals and jointly in our relationship. Whether you know one of us well, or both, you are likely accustomed to the laughter that comes with being in our orbit. This is impossibly doubled when we are together and as such, we are so excited for you all to join us in celebrating our joint journey through our next and most exciting stage yet: marriage. We hope to have many chapters of our story to come, after all, this is only just the beginning.
