Garibaldi Provincial Park has a large number of hiking trails, both front country and back country camping sites and all the mountain views you could want! Some of the trails we recommend are: Cheakamus Lake Trail, the Garibaldi Lake Trail and Panorama Ridge. Before you head out, please look at trail conditions, distances and elevation gains to know what to expect. We would be hard pressed to not include our wedding venue in this list of things to do. If you're a golfer, Furry Creek has been named one of the most beautiful and scenic golf courses in British Columbia, and also one of the most challenging. It was also a film location for Happy Gilmore, you know where he fights Bob Barker? Yea, that happened here.

The Britannia Mine operated from 1904 to 1974 and was once the largest copper mine in the British Empire. It is told that over 60,000 people from 50 countries lived and worked in this isolated mining community over the course of its life. Go underground aboard our train into an early haulage tunnel. Inside, discover what it took to be a miner including demonstrations of actual working drills, among other exhibits!

Horseshoe Bay is a main hub for BC Ferries (https://www.bcferries.com/), providing access to the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. The Sunshine Coast is quaint and beautiful, with many hidden gems along the route. Vancouver Island has a number of things to do including: hiking and biking trails, wineries, the stunning city of Victoria, and Tofino on the west coast. Whytecliff Park is a favourite of ours, and we try to visit whenever we're around Vancouver. When the tide is low, you can walk over the the island and maybe catch a glimpse of some harbor seals!

Are you afraid of heights? The Capilano Suspension Bridge will definitely test that fear. The current bridge is 140 metres long and 70 metres above the river. Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses to towering evergreens, cedar-scented rainforest air and Treetops Adventure, 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor.
