Jesus and Gelato

Jaymison and Amber Lynn have long agreed upon two key aspects in their relationship: Jesus and Gelato. In October of 2017, Jaymison was studying abroad while Amber Lynn was following the call to grow roots in the beautiful city of Granada, Spain (Pomegranate in Spanish). Both sought a local church community, which was how they ended up meeting at an '80s themed party for young adults at the evangelical church in town. Fresh in her '80s neon, Amber Lynn goaded people into swing dancing, where Jaymison was one of a few people who dared try to match her '20s Charleston. He later offered to walk her home where they got distracted by swingsets, fun conversation, and...gelato. They became close friends, taking weekly adventures including: the majestic moorish fortress palace, La Alhambra; the picturesque teahouse, La Teteria de los Banuelos; the vast gardens in El Carmen de los Martires; and beautiful coastal escapades. There was so so much gelato. Nine intentional months later (July 2018), Amber Lynn and Jaymison prayerfully began a purposeful courtship. Amber Lynn was in her career with Delta airlines; Jaymison recently graduated and was looking for work, considering grad school. While they recognized that long distance is rarely ideal, Amber Lynn's flight benefits kept the visits frequent and the adventures plentiful. Both were very intentional, seeking opportunities for Jesus and gelato with each other and those around them. Two years later, and with the global shift related to Covid-19, Amber Lynn had temporarily moved to El Paso on a leave of absence. On a beautiful night on September 3, 2020, Jaymison proposed. This website is evidence that she said "yes". Jaymison and his family recreated a wonderful shared experiences in Spain: the teahouse, La Teteria de los Banuelos, complete with tea, sweets, and a (projected) view from the foot of La Alhambra. Amber Lynn and Jaymison are excited for a lifetime of Jesus and gelato to continue on May 15th, 2021.
