Things To Do
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Every guest will get to experience one of our favorite things about Utah, because our wedding venue is nestled right at the top of this beautiful mountain canyon road. Big Cottonwood Canyon boasts the most beautiful views of Utah, take your time along the many scenic viewpoints and hiking trails along this road. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional mountain goat or moose that you may encounter on your drive!
Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City is only about a 30-40 minute drive from the wedding venue and hosts an endless amount of things to do including bars, restaurants, museums, hiking trails, etc. Even in our almost 4 years of living here, we feel we have hardly scratched the surface of things to do in this incredible city. Park City
Park City is only a 28 minute drive from the wedding venue. Downtown Park City boasts many shops, dining options, bars, and a scenic gondola ride. High West Whiskey Distillery is one of our favorites.
Antelope Island State Park
Antelope Island State Park is a gorgeous island surrounded by the Great Salt Lake. There is a winding road that encircles the island with plenty of hiking trails and scenic viewpoints along the way. You will certainly see a herd of buffalo and/or antelope during your visit.
Silver Lake - Big Cottonwood Canyon
There are many trails available near the wedding venue. Silver Lake Loop is an easy 0.9 mile loop with a boardwalk and offers a lakeside view and plenty of nature/animals.
Lake Mary Trail
A perfect "moderate" trail near the wedding venue, 2.3 miles with only 800 ft of elevation gain takes you to a gorgeous mountain lake.
Lake Blanche Trailhead
For our more adventurous guests, Lake Blanche Trail is a 7.0-mile hike that offers an incredibly rewarding views, and is located near the wedding venue. Please know this hike is rated as "hard" due to the almost 3,000 ft. elevation gain, so be prepared for a good workout and bring plenty of water and snacks!
Oktoberfest at Snowbird
Oktoberfest is hosted every Sunday from 12-6 PM. Snowbird is a beautiful ski resort one canyon over in Little Cottonwood Canyon (also a very beautiful drive).
The Hog Wallow Pub
One of our favorite bars! Located near the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. They often host live music and they have fantastic burgers and smoked wings. Try the "famous" Utah fry sauce while you're here.
Road trip to southern Utah to visit our National Parks
Fall time is a perfect time to visit the desert! Contact Evan or Amber if you need ideas for an itinerary. Moab is a fun desert adventure town about 3.5 hours from SLC, which also houses Arches National Park. You can access the other National Parks within a few hours drive from there including Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef.
