We're getting married!

We met while we were both working at Olive Garden in Okemos, Michigan. Amber saw Alex sitting in the cafe area of the restaurant on her very first day and had an instant crush. She even went home and told her mom, "I met the cutest guy ever today!" Our friendship grew and we started officially dating on May 2, 2014.

Alex made plans for us to go on a fall color tour the weekend of October 26, 2019. Amber had always talked about wanting to go up north during the fall to look at the beautiful leaves. After a day of hiking with Karrie and Lola, visiting some of our favorite places along Michigan's west coast, and enjoying a winery, we ended up in Silver Lake Sand Dunes. At the dunes, Alex distracted Amber while he planted a custom sign he made that says "The Millers," got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course, she said yes!
