HOW WE MET We met on Tinder! Amarion was attending the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and playing on the NCAA volleyball team. While quarantined with the team, all the freshmen were told to download Tinder for a day as a joke. Amarion’s very first swipe was Morgan, and we matched. The rest is history. THE PROPOSAL We were on a friend's vacation in North Carolina. Originally, the plan was to propose in the summer of 2024 when we thought we were moving away. We were going to have one last big trip up north in Wisconsin with all our close friends. But when plans changed and we realized we weren’t moving, Amarion was disappointed and wasn’t really excited about doing the trip anymore. Instead, we went on a smaller, last-minute getaway with a few friends. Morgan had hoped to propose while we were hiking near a waterfall, but Amarion wasn’t having the best day and wasn’t in the mood. The next night, after dinner, Morgan wanted to propose again—but knew Amarion didn’t want anything too public. So, he waited until we were back at the cabin. By then, Amarion was already in her pajamas and bonnet, moody and upset. Luckily, her friend Sonya convinced her to come outside for one last North Carolina photo. As the picture was being taken, Morgan got down on one knee behind her. Sonya turned Amarion around, and before Morgan could even ask the question, Amarion said, “Actually…” and started crying, saying yes through tears. OUR FUTURE We hope to have three children, build our dream home from the ground up, and travel the world together as much as we can.
