Monica Thai

Co-Maid of Honour

Mine and Amanda’s friendship was definitely the sub-plot of Andy and Amanda’s love story. The kind you don’t see coming, but end up wondering how it ever wasn’t there. We met through our significant others, and what started as just being acquainted quickly turned into something as strong as Andy and Denny’s bromance. My favourite thing about Amanda is how she manifests the wildest ideas. For years, she always joked about us being neighbours. Although the idea was never entertained, here we are, without planning, living down the street from each other. It’s a friendship I didn’t really see coming, but became an essential part of my life. In the few years I've known Amanda, we've gone through so much together. I am so grateful I get to continue going through life with Amanda (literally) by my side...now just a few doors down.

Denny Hoang

Best Man

My favourite memory with Andy has to be our trip to Mazatlán. We were just having fun boogie boarding on the water, but when we glanced back, the people on the beach looked like ants and panic started to kick in. At this point, the waves kept pulling us under, and we were sure we were in trouble. We started waving for help, and the lifeguards were called, but by the time they reached us, they stared at us and said, “You can stand up.” Turns out we were no longer in deep water by the time they arrived—just in deep, deep embarrassment. Despite the embarrassment, that moment became the most memorable of the trip. It wasn’t just about the waves or the near-death experience; it was about how we revisit that memory and laugh about it. It’s a story that never gets old, and one of many moments that truly define our friendship.

Co-Maid of Honour

Honestly, I can’t think of one particular memory with Amanda that truly defines our friendship—mostly because many of them probably aren’t website appropriate, haha. Over the past 10 years, our relationship has grown into something more like family. She’s the sister I’ve always wanted—we’ve shared countless silly moments, supported each other through everything, and created unforgettable memories together. She’s one person in my life that I can truly be my true self with. Amanda is, without a doubt, the most loyal , trusting , caring Viet Mommy I’ve ever met—and I mean that in the best way possible.

Groomsman

My favourite memory with Andy is from our first camping trip together. In theory, it was a great idea to go to Ghost Lake, camp, and have a boys weekend. But that wasn’t the case. Instead, we got lost and realized we forgot to bring all the pots and pans. So there we were, seven guys, one tent, way too much food, and not a single utensil in sight. We spent the entire weekend cooking over an open fire using rocks, pocket knifes, and plastic forks. Watching Andy try to cook an egg on a rock in the middle of no where is something I’ll truly never forget.

As Amanda’s favourite sister, growing up with her has been such an amazing experience. Having an older sister to “borrow” clothes from and who does my hair for free has truly been the biggest blessing. But in all seriousness, I’m so lucky to have such a talented and caring older sister. I’ll never forget the time Amanda and I convinced our brothers to bring home Charlie while our parents were away — just one of many memories that shows the kind of adventurous spirit Amanda brings into all our lives.

During our trip to Europe, I ended up embarrassing myself. I felt absolutely horrible about what had transpired, and it wasn't how I envisioned our trip going. Andy, being the guy that he is, made sure to check up on me. He never made me feel worse about the situation; instead, he helped me laugh it off and reminded me we were there to have fun and make memories. It was one of those experiences that hurt, but ultimately brought us closer together. Looking back now, it makes one hell of a story. Andy really helped me turn a rough moment into a great memory, and I wouldn’t trade it, or a friend like Andy, for anything.

Bridesmaid

Over the years, Amanda and I have created many memories together. From Halloween parties in junior high and high school, all of the birthday parties, a night on the town during our teenage years, a quick trip to Vegas and more recently, hitting the gym, I can always count on Amanda to bring the good vibes and laughter to any situation. We've also celebrated many of life's big milestones together, such as junior high graduation, then high school graduation, each other's bachelorettes, my wedding day, and soon to be Amanda's big day! Whether they were small or big, during the ups or downs, full of tears or laughter, I'll cherish the memories of our friendship for a lifetime.

Groomsman

Andy and I met when we both went to Earnest Morrow. We didn’t really become friends until our days at Forest Lawn together. Over the years, life pulled both of us in different directions, and for a period of time, we drifted apart. Like many other friendships, we found ourselves reconnecting after the pandemic and started talking again. Even after all that time, it felt like no days had passed. That made me realize that our friendship wasn't built on the big events in our lives or the milestones, but rather, the trust and comfort we built in each other over the years. It's the kind of friendship that doesn't need explaining because it's simply always been there, no matter the time or distance.
