Amanda's dad's cousin, Mark Pasternak, purchased the land in what is now Samuel P. Taylor Park in 1971 when he was just 19 years old! Since then, Mark and his wife Myriam Kaplan have been running tons of projects and programs at the ranch focusing on sustainable agriculture and education. Follow the link below to learn more. Importantly, the ranch can be tough to travel to. Plan to drive slowly and carefully on some back roads. The last 10 minutes of the drive is up a windy, narrow gravel road. We encourage as many people to carpool as possible. It's truly a special place, just a bit treacherous to get there. Go slowly, and we'll make sure you have a good time! https://www.devilsgulchranch.com
We ask that all of our guests be fully vaccinated. If you're experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, or have been recently exposed to someone with symptoms or a diagnosis, please seek a test ASAP before traveling or joining in on the celebration. Additionally, we're asking that all of our guests take a COVID-19 test prior to the wedding. We appreciate you!
Martha Stewart's website says guests should RSVP 8 weeks prior to the event.
The Bay Area is famous for its arctic air and unpredictable weather! During the day, we'll expect and hope for temperatures in the low 70s, but it could also be super foggy and cold or pretty hot. In the evening you can expect the temperature to drop into the 50s. In other words, come prepared with layers!
Dress to impress! Think cocktail attire. Amanda is gonna wear a white dress.
You can leave your stilettos at home. The ranch is pretty rugged and we don't want anyone to sprain an ankle!
Absolutely. Just let us know!

Set your GPS to the Nicasio Historical Society (100 Ranch Road, Nicasio, CA 94946), and find the gate just behind it and to the right. This is an electric gate for the bridge which has a push button, no keypad or code. Cross the bridge and you will be on a gravel road. Go 1/2 mile from the bridge to the first left turn (uphill past the eucalyptuses), where there is a sign (Devil's Gulch Ranch) and an arrow pointing to the left. Turn left and go uphill roughly 1 mile, all the way to the top of the hill. At the top, you will pass a vineyard on your right and, after traveling downhill for a bit, you will come to a fork in the road with 2 wooden gates. Turn right, downhill, and go through the right hand gate. It is another electric gate, which does have a keypad code (2-2-2-2) if it is closed. From this gate it is 1/2 mile downhill to the house/ceremony site. At the bottom of the hill, turn left towards the barn and someone will help you find parking.
