Amanda and Warren met the old fashioned way - online! Warren messaged Amanda to ask about a quote on her dating profile by her favorite Dharma teacher. A few messages later and they had decided to meet for tapas and drinks at César in North Berkeley. When Amanda arrived intentionally 5 to 7 minutes late for their first date, she found Warren waiting outside the restaurant reading his New Yorker, which she thought was a prop. And the rest is history! Yeah right. After many months of laughter and some tears, Amanda and Warren kept getting closer rather than farther apart. And now they even read the New Yorker together. Amanda and Warren have many unique, shared interests including reading, drinking coffee, and eating lox bagels. But in all seriousness, these two care deeply about their respective professions, families, communities, and importantly, about being in loving partnership with one another. On any given weekend, you can find them biking to the Albany Bulb for sunset, reading in Strawberry Creek Park, or having impassioned conversations about parking and/or childbirth. All thanks to a dating app!
