Flight
Pittsburgh International Airport, as a popular connecting flight airport, has lots of flights move in from major metropolitan areas every day and is a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Pittsburgh and about a 40-minute drive to Hartwood Acres.
Travel Note
Our venue is easily accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) at exit 39. After taking exit 39, keep left at the fork and follow the signs for PA-8 S/Pittsburgh and merge onto PA-8 S. After 0.7 miles turn left onto McNeal Rd. Go another 0.9 mi and turn right onto Middle Rd. Stay on Middle Rd. for 1.5 mi. Turn left onto McCully Rd then continue onto Cedar Run Rd for 0.4 mi. Turn right onto Church Ln for 1.7 mi and then turn right onto Saxonburg Blvd for 1.1 mi. Turn right onto Hartwood Acres and the follow the road to the parking lot. If you want to follow these instructions, power to you...but we'd really recommend just popping this address into your Phone's GPS: 200 Hartwood Acres, Pittsburgh, PA 15238
Travel Note
Unfortunately, the parking lot at the mansion is not conducive to easy navigation by a large shuttle. If you're not driving or catching a ride with a friend, please plan on using a ride share/taxi service to get to and from Hartwood. If you're staying downtown, Ubers and Lyfts will be available to take you to Hartwood (although you may want to plan as if you're getting to the ceremony at 5:30 pm to leave yourself time to wait for a driver). However, the availability of Ubers and Lyfts in the area around Hartwood at the end of the reception will be limited. For your trip back, we recommend using zTrip (https://www.ztrip.com/pittsburgh/) (also available as an app), which allows you to order a 4-passenger or 5-passenger car ahead of time to pick you up at a specific location and time. Pricing for zTrip is comparable with most taxis.
House Or Rental
We've had great experiences with AirBnB during our personal travels, and if you're traveling with a group of people, it can potentially be a cost-effective way of traveling together!
House Or Rental
Similarly, Vrbo is also a great way to find a rental for either a small or large group that's traveling together.
