We met on a dating site....twice. We both vaguely remember matching once only for nothing to come of it. Brian became disillusioned with online dating and packed it in. Thankfully, his interest was reignited and Amanda was inspired by a lonely night spent in her bathroom watching movies with a stray cat to also get back out there. The highly selective and, we can only assume, accurate algorithms of OKCupid brought the two lovebirds back onto each other's radar. After many long conversations, Brian told a small, miniscule white lie about also enjoying Amanda's favorite ice cream shop to entice her into their first meeting. Amanda and Brian spent an afternoon eating ice cream and talking, not realizing that Cupid's arrows had already found their mark. Two months later, Brian was introduced to his future mother-in-law at Thanksgiving. This meeting went so well, Jeannie was talking about "marrying off" Amanda by Christmas. Brian's charm, wit, and humility always did have a positive effect on people. By the summer, we became roommates, much to the chagrin of the newly added Prudence at the cost of losing her girls only clubhouse. Seasons passed, birthdays and vacations were had, friends were met, and holidays were celebrated. Amanda and Brian survived a move, multiple roadtrips, international travel, the addition of Tux, and Brian's penchant for picking cold/rainy/long baseball games (Amanda's there for the milkshakes and pierogi races). We are excited to join our families together one day shy of our fifth dating anniversary, marking the occasion of Brian sheepishly texting Amanda "what are we?" We have often moved along our own timeline, causing some odd milestone intervals, but are incredibly happy to hit the mile marker of Forever.
