Check out our Things to Do page for nearby suggestions. There is plenty to check out within walking distance of the Drift Inn too! For friends of the bride we will have mimosas + brunch from 11-12:30pm in the bridal suite (Eagle's Nest) and friends of the groom can meet up for lunch at 11:30am at Luna Sea.
Carpool! Please hitch a ride with friends. The ceremony site is only a 7 min drive down the coast from the Drift Inn but parking may be limited depending on crowds. Keep in mind there are two Neptune park pulloffs, so use the exact address provided. It will be the second Neptune Park and you will be able to see the ceremony site from the parking lot - if you have to hike around you're in the wrong place!
The ceremony will be officiated by local Yachats legend Mary Crook at a grassy spot of Neptune State Park, overlooking some of the rugged Oregon coastline. To be married outdoors in Oregon on the coast means we can't have typical wedding seating, but rather will have guests standing with us, 'elopement style'.
Nope! Put those phones on silent or leave them in the car. We have a photographer who will capture the ceremony so you can all be present in the moment with us. After the ceremony we will take a group photo with everyone!
It's true, there will be some down time in-between the ceremony and reception. Right after the ceremony we will take a group photo with everyone, along with group shots with friends and family. We will also have a champagne toast! Feel free to mingle as long as you like or walk down to the beach. There are several recommended stops between the ceremony site and the Drift Inn including several paved, easy paths to Thor's Well and at the base of Cape Perpetua. The reception is in the hotel so you can also go back and have a drink in your room, walk down to the beach, reflect on life and love...and come ready to party with us at 6pm for cocktail hour!
We will not have assigned seating in the reception garden room. Please make yourself comfortable at any table. There will be plenty of seating for all! Appetizers will be spread over several tables and our server will take drink orders, so feel free to move around and socialize until it's time for dinner service.
Yes, definitely! There will be live music in the restaurant during cocktail hour and dinner, but afterwards we will take over the garden room speakers with our playlist for some dancing. We will kick it off with a first dance and then feel free to make anywhere your dance floor and boogie!
Yep! If you don't finish your food feel free to take it to-go. Their portions are very generous and we expect to have to-go boxes for extra dessert as well (stick around for it)!
