To celebrate our love and commitment, to spend relaxed, quality time with our family and friends, to adventure in a wild and natural place, and to be present in the moment as we welcome in this next chapter together!
After rejecting Andrew on a dating app in 2017 (unknowingly!), we managed to match again and Andrew knew it was time to make moves. He made a solid plan for a first date at Black Shirt Brewing in Denver on Jan. 28th, 2018. We immediately hit it off - talking about everything from camping to new restaurants to essential oils (yes, really). Time together was always fun. Our dates ranged from laser tag, city scavenger hunts, and homemade sushi nights to concerts, rooftop cocktails, and hot spring soaking. We realized how much we both value family, our community of friends, travel and adventure, quiet time spent in nature, and good food. In September 2022, Andrew surprised Amanda with a proposal at their neighborhood lake. The engagement ring was part of a set, and he got down on one knee again with the second ring on their San Francisco 5 year anniversary trip, on a hike above the Golden Gate bridge! We have chosen to have our wedding in Yachats, OR as it has become a special place for us after discovering it on a West coast road trip several years ago. We hope our friends and family enjoy this place as much as we do over our wedding weekend. Cheers!
Yachats (say YAH-hots) was named after the Yachats River, and is a word derived from native local languages. Ya’Xaik (YAH-hike) was the Alseas' word for the locale. Nestled between lush temperate rainforest and rhythmic Pacific surf, the vibrant village of Yachats opens a window to the environment. It is a magical place for a peaceful retreat, outdoor adventure, inspiration, and our wedding!
