Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jennifer Amada and Steven Walier
Being that our venue is 40 minutes from Florence, we hope you can enjoy some time in the city before or after our event! Jenny and Steven's Perfect Day in Florence:
Vivoli

Vivoli

7r Via Isola delle Stinche, Firenze, Toscana 50122, Italy

Start (yes I said start) your morning with famous affogato at Vivoli avoiding any wait/lines.

Uffizi Galleries

Uffizi Galleries

6 Piazzale degli Uffizi, Firenze, Toscana 50122, Italy

Next, head to the Uffizi Galleries to experience some of the world’s most famous art! Be sure to book tickets in advance to skip the lines. Plan on spending a few hours exploring the museum. Steven’s favorite floor is the Corridoio di Mezzogiorno for its views of the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio on one side, and Palazzo Vecchio and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore on the other.

All’Antico Vinaio + Piazza della Signoria

All’Antico Vinaio + Piazza della Signoria

65r Via dei Neri, Firenze, Toscana 50122, Italy

Grab lunch at the original All'Antico Vinaio location and get anything with pistachio cream! (warning: only if you're willing to wait in a line). Walk around Piazza della Signoria and find a stoop to sit and eat your sandwich.

La Schiacciateria

Via dei Neri, 70, Firenze, Toscana 50122, Italy

Also be prepared to wait in line, but it is so worth it!

Ponte Vecchio

Ponte Vecchio

Visit the most famous bridge in Florence--Ponte Vecchio. The bridge is full of jewelry stores, while the surrounding areas have more charming shops perfect for picking out your Italian souvenir. As you cross the bridge you come closer to our favorite spot to sit down and indulge in more Italian food.

Trattoria 4 Leoni

Trattoria 4 Leoni

Via dei Vellutini, 1r, Firenze, 50125, Italy

Grab lunch or sit down for a quick snack at 4 Leoni. Play it safe and make a reservation or often a friendly walk-in option. Jenny loves the pear ravioli! After all that walking, Steven recommends treating yourself to tiramisu or even beginning an aperitivo… or honestly, why not both?

Wine Window

Wine Window

Via Santo Spirito, Firenze, 50122, Italy

Keep the apertivo buzz going with a stop at one of Florence's wine windows.

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo, Firenze, Toscana 50125, Italy

Catch the sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo. Bring a bottle of wine and don't feel bad taking a taxi up as opposed to braving the uphill hike.

La Giostra

La Giostra

Borgo Pinti, 16 R, Firenze, 50121, Italy

Book a dinner reservation in advance at La Giostra for some famous florentine steak and pear ravioli! (Heads Up: Most restaurants don't start dinner service until 6:30pm. Don't under estimate trying to squeeze into a table without a res once they first open).

Gelato at Piazza Duomo

Gelato at Piazza Duomo

Piazza del Duomo, 45/R, firenze, FL 50122, Italy

End your night eating gelato at the foot of the most famous monument in Florence. There is a lot of history, urban legends, and stories surrounding the Cathedral of Santa Maria.
