Yes! There will be an area where they can eat kid food and play kid games. We want to make sure everyone is having fun, even the kiddos! If Mom and Dad need a night out, feel free to use us as an excuse :)
Please! As you know, we are both vegetarian. We totally get it! We will do our absolute best to accommodate any requests. Please make sure to include this in your RSVP.
We are not formally providing any transportation to any of the events, but the Hilton Garden Inn will provide a complimentary shuttle service within a 3 mile radius. This is typically on a first come, first serve basis, so please coordinate to ensure you are at each event on time. If you did not rent a car, Uber and Lyft are both easy options in the city! Lyft tends to be more affordable in Houston, but always double check!
There are so many people in our lives that we want to spend our special day with! With that being said, we chose our closest friends and family that we want to be there. Please reference your invitation for any questions.
It is crucial that we receive your RSVP on time so that we can accommodate everyone. Please RSVP as early as possible, but by February 1st, 2020 at the latest. If for any reason you have to change your RSVP, please notify us as soon as possible.
ABSOLUTELY! If you are coming to our Pithi or Hindu ceremony, please feel free to embrace our culture and wear a Sari/Indian clothes. They are tricky to put on and wear, so keep that in mind! If this isn't your cup of tea, we totally get it. Wear what makes you comfortable!
Our evening ceremony and reception are in the Galleria area, which is where we booked the hotel blocks. You are welcome to stay anywhere you'd like, but know this may be the most convenient. If you are coming early or staying late to visit family/friends (because let's be real, everyone knows someone in Houston), the Galleria area is also within a 15-20 minute drive to the Sugar Land area and just about anything else here in the city.
Yes! Our evening ceremony and cocktail hour will be at sunset outside at the venue. All other festivities will be indoors. It's Houston in March. It could be 90 degrees or it could be 50. Please make sure you check the weather to plan/dress accordingly.
Historically, the weather this weekend has been partly sunny with a high of 73 and low of 52. AVERAGE. This is Houston people! I would triple check the weather before packing. :)
An "unplugged" ceremony is one that doesn't allow guests to take photos on any personal devices. While we wouldn't say we are a completely "unplugged" ceremony, we do ask that you limit taking personal photos or videos. This can often obstruct any views the photographer and videographers may be capturing. We have very talented photographers and videographers that we wholeheartedly trust will take amazing photos and videos. We promise we will share the professional photos and video once we receive them!
#VimAly Please make sure to tag us on any pictures you post! We want to see them all!
You're welcome to reach out to Vimal and I personally. :) You can also e-mail us at vimalyssa@gmail.com
All events will be starting exactly at the times listed. Please plan to arrive at each event 15-20 early so there are no interruptions.
Hindu Ceremony - There will be a large parking lot inside a set of gates at the temple. Ceremony & Reception - There will be plenty of parking, it may just be a little tricky to find! There is a lot behind the venue on W. Greenridge Drive (it's the curvy road to the left of the venue).
