View or Hike: Andrews Lake
Drive-to alpine lake with paved parking and good views. Stroll around the lake for a 1-mile loop. OPTIONAL: From Andrews Lake, hike towards Crater Lake for wild flowers and views of Engineer Mountain (hike as far as you want before turning around; 5mi to Crater Lake one-way).
Hike: Purgatory Flats to Animas River
8-mi hike to the Animas River (out-n-back) near the Black Diamond Lodge.
Mountain Bike or Hike: Engineer Mountain
