FAQs

Question

When do I have to RVSP by?

Answer

Invites should be received by March 15 - please complete the online RSVP by May 1. We're happy to answer questions about logistics to help plan your trip.

Question

How will I know whether I'll be able to stay at the Black Diamond Lodge (venue)?

Answer

Guests staying on-site will be notified in their online RSVP through this website. If you do not see that option while RSVP'ing, plan to book your own accommodations. Please contact Aly at 920-366-0110 with any questions! Those staying off site can find a plethora of airbnbs, VRBOs, RV parks, and hotels in the Durango area. Please consider in your planning that the wedding will be taking place about 20 miles north of Durango (great camping!). We can help facilitate carpools or shuttles are plans solidify.

Question

What are cost expectations?

Answer

Guests will cover their own travel expenses. If you're going to be staying at the Black Diamond Lodge, that information will be included in your invite. The wedding festivities will cover dinners Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and certain goodies in-between. There is a large kitchen at the Lodge where you can store snacks and make breakfasts/lunches from groceries guests bring.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Colorado usually has nice weather, but it's best to prepare for 40 degree temperature swings between Durango Town Afternoons to Post-Sunset in the Mountains. In addition to wedding wear, we recommend packing hiking clothes/shoes, a swim suit, an extra sweatshirt, a rain coat, a beanie (aka stocking cap), and a sun hat/sun glasses/sunscreen. tl;dr: Sun protection, swim suit, activite clothes, warm layers.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Because of the size of the venue, only direct invitees are invited to the wedding. If a plus-one is important to you and not listed on your invite, speak with Aly or EJ directly!

Question

What about my dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please note them in our RSVP. We're already planning menus friendly to vegetarians and gluten - and dairy-free.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We invite you to take the weekend kids-free if possible. If that isn't possible, let EJ or Aly know and let's talk about it! :)
