The Venue & Directions

The HideOut: 43300 Hwy 88 Kirkwood, CA 95646 The HideOut is 40 acres of off the grid, mountain landscape at 7,000 ft. elevation. You'll lose cell service the last 20 miles so please bring or take a picture of directions ahead of time. The roads are rugged, but 4-wheel drive is not required. We suggest purchasing food at one of the grocery stores near the airport or ahead of time. There are limited restaurants and stores nearby. WRITTEN DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE: Hwy 89 to Hwy 88 West Travel about 40 miles, you will pass Kirkwood Ski Resort, Silver Lake. When you see the Mormon Emigrant Trail or Iron Mountain Snow Park, continue on Hwy 88 for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto a paved driveway (43300 Hwy 88). There will be orange cones and 2 bears to greet you. Follow the gravel road for 2 miles and at the lake turn right. Go over Puckerbutt Hill! At the top, it takes a sharp right. Follow the dirt road around to the parking signs. Parking is located at the RV campground.

The Lake

Swim & Fish

There is a private lake on the property where you can swim and fish. The owners do request that all fishing is catch & release. Pack a tackle box and a towel!

The Saloon

Entertainment Center

The Saloon at the HideOut serves as the entertainment center with its old-western style bar on the main floor. This building has WiFi and is the only "connected" location on the property.

Granite Hot Tub

Take a soak

Nested above the lake is a large, 20+ person hot tub carved into the granite. We welcome all of our guests to use this but ask you bring a towel.
