FAQs

Here are some items you may want to know.
Question

What about the little ones?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children. Our venue did recommend this service: Lake Tahoe Sitters Childcare / Phone#: 530-545-1217.

Question

SHOULD I BRING ANY FOOD OR DRINKS?

Answer

Yes! For meals other than the ones listed on our wedding schedule, we recommend you stop at a grocery store prior to arriving at your hotel/lodge/bnb. There isn't much in the area but here are a few: In Pioneer, there is a Payless Market- 20 min one way. In Jackson, there is a Safeway and Raley's- 1 hour one way. If coming from Reno, there will be several stores on the south end of Carson City.

Question

Whats the dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to be comfortable and casual. Our venue is very laid back. We're talking flip flops and shorts (with a jacket for warmth)! A sundress recommended. Stilettos not encouraged!

Question

What's the cell phone service like?

Answer

Once you leave Kirkwood Village, there is not much cell phone reception. There is limited wifi at the HideOut if you need to check in every once in a while, but we prefer presence. :)

Question

What's available once I arrive in Kirkwood?

Answer

There is a general store with limited hours and grocery selection, also serving breakfast and lunch. We recommend bringing all food and alcohol you would like to have at your condo or hotel. In addition to the general store, the Kirkwood Inn and Saloon serves lunch and dinner, located on Hwy 88 across from the turnoff to Kirkwood.
