The Chalets at Collins Lake Resort are the perfect setting for your upscale mountain retreat. Each Chalet is privately owned and individually furnished with its own custom charm, offering sleeping for up to ten guests comfortably. Whether you choose a mountain view, a creek view, or a forest view Chalet, you will be able to enjoy the excellent resort amenities, the nearby Village of Government Camp, and the surrounding Mt. Hood National Forest. A shuttle will be provided from Collins Lake to the venue on the day of the wedding. IMPORTANT: you can only book the Collins Lake Resort 6 months prior to your stay. At the Grand Lodges, you will find our most elegant residences with stunning views of Mt. Hood, Collins Lake, and the slopes of Mt. Hood Skibowl. Large 1800-2300 square foot living spaces and first class finishes provide all of the necessary comforts you are accustomed to, and then some. Three floor plans, ranging from two to three bedrooms, exude luxury living and offer the finest interior features available on Mt. Hood. A shuttle will be provided from Grand Lodges to the venue on the day of the wedding. IMPORTANT: you can only book the Grand Lodges 6 months prior to your stay. Mark your calendars to call on February 10th to book for August 10th-12th. There is a two-night minimum, and the weekly rate is significantly discounted from the nightly rate if you're able to extend your trip!

Best Western Mt. Hood Inn

The Best Western Mt. Hood Inn is a cozy little hotel right in Government Camp - close to the venue and restaurants, shops, and Mt. Hood Brewing Company! A shuttle will be provided from the Best Western to the venue on the day of the wedding. There is a two-night minimum at this time of year. We recommend booking ASAP to secure the best rate.

House Or Rental

Airbnb

There are many homes, condos, and cabins available for rent through Airbnb. This is a great option for big groups! Door-to-door shuttle service will not be provided to Airbnbs, however, many places are within a short walking distance of Collins Lake Resort, Grand Lodges, Best Western, or the venue itself! If you'd like to avoid driving, we recommend finding a place near downtown Government Camp so that you can walk to hop a ride on a shuttle.

Other Hotels Nearby

Feel free to look for other accommodations in Government Camp, OR or some of the surrounding towns such as Zig Zag and Welches. If you'll have a car and are OK driving to and from the wedding venue, we recommend checking out Resort at the Mountain or Timberline Lodge for additional lodging options. They are about 15 minutes away, and the venue will have ample free parking.

Flight

Portland International Airport (PDX)

We recommend flying in and out of Portland. The venue is at Mt. Hood, which is a little over an hour drive from PDX Airport.

Rental Car

Rental Car

We recommend renting a car for the weekend - it will be the easiest way to get to and from the airport. Once you make it up to Government Camp, most things are in walking distance, but you may want to drive to go hiking or check out some of the nearby resorts like the historic Timberline Lodge!

Travel Note

NO Uber or Lyft

Please note that Uber and Lyft will NOT be available up on Mt. Hood. While you may be able to catch a ride from Portland up to Mt. Hood, do not rely on Uber or Lyft to bring you back to Portland. We recommend renting a car to ensure all your travel needs will be met!
