Getting In

Regardless of how you get to Virgin Gorda, remember to pre-arrange a taxi to your accommodation. Some hotels arrange this for you, so check in with them as well. Lists of vendors are at the bottom of this page.

Beef Island, Tortola BVI (EIS)

EIS (Beef Island, Tortola, BVI) Once you land at their airport, you can easily grab a taxi or walk two minutes to the ferry dock. You can find Speedy's ferry schedule from Beef Island (Tortola) to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda with the following link: https://bestofbvi.com/bvi-ferry-schedules/?from=Beef-Island,-Tortola&to=Virgin-Gorda There are also many private boat transfers between Tortola and Virgin Gorda (30 - 40 minutes). Saint Thomas (STT)

The ferry service can be a fun time if you enjoy being on the water, but it will be a big day of travel. The journey will look something like this: 1. You will need to Taxi from STT airport to the ferry station - taxi's can be found outside the baggage claim doors. 2. You will need to ferry from St. Thomas to Road Town, Tortola. Two ferry options you can take are Native Son or Road Town Fast Ferry. Native Son - https://www.nativesonferry.co/ferry-services/ Road Town Fast Ferry - https://www.roadtownfastferry.com/ 3. Once you have arrived in Tortola, you will need to go through customs and immigration, then connect with a Speedy's Ferry which will take you to Virgin Gorda. Speedy's Ferry: https://www.bviferries.com/speedys-bvi-ferry-schedule 4. Taxi to your final accommodations or rental car pick up! Private transfer via boat to and from Saint Thomas is available for $250-$300 per person. These direct transfers will take you directly to Leverick Bay or your Final Accommodation. We HIGHLY recommend this option as you won't need to rely on public ferry services. Travel Tips for VG

Use WhatsApp when making any reservations / communicating with local businesses and vendors. Bring Cash with you ($USD) - all taxi's and ferry's operate on a cash system for the most part. We highly encourage you to bring cash down with you as there are VERY FEW ATM's on Virgin Gorda Call in advance for all reservations, car rentals and taxi services!!!! Many cars down here are 'open air' and have you sit in the back on benches, if you're not comfortable with this, just ask the service if they can accommodate a closed-car!
