Elevated casual — polished but relaxed. We’ll be cruising on the water at sunset in Austin, so dress comfortably for the boat, warm weather, and a light evening breeze. You’re invited to kick off the wedding festivities with a sunset cruise on Lake Austin! Join us aboard Capital Cruises for a relaxed evening on the water, where we’ll enjoy drinks, light bites, and a front-row seat to one of Austin’s coolest local shows: the bats. Nicknamed “Bat City,” Austin is home to the largest urban bat colony in North America. At dusk, thousands of bats emerge from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge (it’s a thing) you won’t want to miss. It’s the perfect way to take in the skyline, catch up with friends and family, and get the party started!

Wedding Day

Dress Code - Cocktail Attire: Gentlemen, suits are encouraged and ties are optional but welcome. Ladies, mid- to long-length cocktail dresses are perfect.

We’re excited for you to join us at The Addison Grove, a beautiful venue set on 26 acres just 20 minutes from downtown Austin. The ceremony will take place beneath the oak trees, followed by an evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing—all on the same grounds. We recommend planning to arrive 20-30 minutes early so we can begin the ceremony on time. We kindly ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away during the ceremony—our amazing photographer has it covered. After the ceremony, we’ll gather on the patio for cocktail hour with passed canapés and drinks, then move into the reception for dinner, dancing, and plenty of celebration.
