Whether you prefer a guided excursion of the grounds or you’d like to join one of the daily tours, you’re bound to learn a great deal about the nation’s military history. ***PLEASE NOTE THAT THE THAYER HOTEL IS ON A MILITARY STATION: Entrance to the academy requires all guests to undergo a background check and obtain a manifest pass before entrance to the campus grounds (past the second gate). The Thayer Hotel can apply for the manifest passes on your behalf no later than 16 days prior to arrival, otherwise you can apply for these passes at the time of your arrival at the hotel.
