Question

Where can I stay at West Point?

Answer

We’re delighted to have family and friends from near and far come to our wedding! As such, we have reserved a block of hotel rooms for 3 nights from October 24-October 27, 2024. If you wish to book a room at a special group rate that we’ve negotiated on your behalf, please call the hotel reservations department (800-247-5047 or 845-446-4731) and ask for the Martinez/Duffy Wedding rate. You can view the room types directly on their website (https://www.thethayerhotel.com/rooms.html). - Deluxe King $269.00 + tax - Double $289.00 + tax - Junior Suites $369.00 + tax Please make sure to book your room before August 17, 2024 to ensure you have a place to stay as space is limited! **While the hotel will certainly try to accommodate each guest as they arrive, please note that the hotel's check-in policy starts at 4 pm. Should you elect to arrive on the day of the wedding and your room is not ready by the time of check-in, the hotel has a large sitting area in the mezzanine level where guests will be permitted to touch up their makeup/hair. We recommend that you travel ready just in case.**

Question

Where is the Wedding?

Answer

The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point 674 Thayer Road West Point, NY 10996 When arriving, please make sure everyone has their photo ID to show the gate (driver’s license is fine). You can self park or use our valet parking.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The Thayer Hotel offers valet parking at $15.00 for events and free for all overnight guests, otherwise guests are able to self-park in any of the nearby parking lots. Should you elect to self-park, Guest Services Attendants can shuttle guests from the parking lot to the hotel with a golf cart if they are available. The parking lot is just down 2 flights of stone steps. Our #1 priority is having our guests avoid unsafe situations. If you are planning on drinking, please make sure to schedule ride share options like Lyft and Uber (availability is sparse and not very reliable), order a taxi, or stay with us at the hotel!

Question

When and How should I RSVP?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP by was September 30th, 2024. You could have RSVP’ed by using the QR code on your invitation or by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. You have unfortunately missed the RSVP deadline set into place. We would have loved to have you there with us on our special day. A final guest count has been submitted to the venue and caterer so unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate extra guests. But don't worry we will share many photos and videos from the wedding!

Question

What if I can’t make it?

Answer

Your presence will surely be missed. Please RSVP “Will NOT Attend”. If you have already RSVP’d attending, but find that you will not make it, please notify Sofia or James directly via text (203.722.9346).

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love all our friends and family’s children! However, due to space restrictions, we cannot accomodate guest under the age of 21 on our wedding day with the exception of the children in the wedding party. Invitations will be specific and will include the names of children who are invited. We encourage you to use this evening as a fun date night!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, if you have a plus one, your address will be listed as “Mr/Ms XYZ and Guest”. If you are confused, when you RSVP and type in your name, you will see if you have a plus one! We want everyone to share in the celebration and this will ensure that we are surrounded by our close friends and family. We hope you understand!

Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

We kindly ask that you leave your furry loved ones at home so you can enjoy a night out!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is formal cocktail attire. For men this means a suit and tie, and for women a formal midi or full length dress. No jeans or denim, please! For color restrictions please do not wear any colors that would typically be worn by the bride (white, ivory, blush, champagne), and eucalyptus/olive green dresses as these are the colors of the wedding party. The ceremony will be held outdoors and reception will be held indoors - please dress accordingly.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the drinks are on us and the hangover is on you - get ready to celebrate!

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes we do! Please use: #AllLoveyDuffy when posting any pictures on social media so we can see them too!
