We are so excited to celebrate with you in Appling, GA! If you have some extra time during our wedding weekend, here are a few of our favorite local spots! Outdoor Recreation Mistletoe State Park: Perfect for a morning hike or a scenic stroll. In October, lake is stunning. It’s one of the best spots for birdwatching or simply enjoying the breeze off Clarks Hill Lake. Wildwood Park: Home to the International Disc Golf Center. Even if you’ve never played, the park offers beautiful walking trails. Local History Historic Appling: The Columbia County Courthouse built in 1812, it is the oldest courthouse in Georgia still in use! Kiokee Baptist Church: This is the oldest continuing Baptist church in the state, with a gorgeous brick chapel dating back to 1808. Nearby Fall Fun Steed’s Dairy: This is the fall experience featuring a corn maze, pumpkin patches, and hayrides. Downtown Harlem: It’s a charming small town perfect for grabbing a coffee and walking through the local antique shops.
