Dress to Impress

The 1920s Harlem Renaissance era was remembered for its unique and over-the-top clothing styles. The fashions featured ornamental flourishes such as feathers and lace. Women's dresses were full and flowing, while men usually wore garments with puffed sleeves and form-fitting waists over suit or tuxedo pants. Men wore berets and caps, while women wore feathers, veils, or garlands in their hair.
