Alison and William met in November 2019 when she swiped right upon seeing his mustache. They very quickly realized they were the exact same brand of weird. While there is much debate around the origins of COVID-19 - a lab leak, raccoon dogs, aliens - Alison firmly believes that it started in February 2020 when Will didn't catch the high-flying teppanyaki shrimp at Sakura, flung by the chef during that high pressure date. Whichever side of the debate you land on, Alison and Will's life changed forever (and we guess the world's, too). In March 2020, faced with lockdown, remote work, and the release of Call of Duty: Warzone, they were left with a choice: Do they lean into their relationship or call it quits? Does Will take advantage of his life's work as an introvert to play video games alone for years on end? Will Ali decide to move back north? Luckily, neither of those things happened and, instead, they fell in love. Whether it was socially-distanced grilling during "Saturday Sessions" with friends, taking care of each other when sick (Ali near-exclusively taking care of Will), or attempting to grow vegetables, Alison and Will began to build a life together. They brought Christmas trees home, celebrated virtual Passover seders, traveled to their friends' weddings, and rescued a baby fox-bear-dog named Indigo before moving into their own house in Charlottesville. While in the Bahamas on April 1, 2023, Will got down on one knee to tell Ali that she was the kindest, funniest, weirdest girl he'd ever met and couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with her. After confirming that this was not an April Fool's joke, Alison said yes (and cried a lot). And now we're here, inviting you to come share our love in May 2024!
