A weekend to remember

We are so excited for you to attend our wedding and -- for those traveling from out of town -- to see our new home! October is a wonderful time to visit Lexington. Fall in Kentucky is especially picturesque, with leaves changing colors against the backdrop of crisp, clear blue skies. That said, our wedding happens to fall on particularly busy weekend in Lexington. Every April and October, Lexington hosts the Keeneland horse race, which lasts all month long. Additionally, our wedding weekend happens to be homecoming for the University of Kentucky. UK will be hosting Texas for an exciting SEC matchup. It will be certainly an exciting time to visit Lexington and to see all this wonderful city has to offer! Because there are so many events happening on our wedding weekend, we highly recommend booking travel as early as you can. On our end, we have booked a couple room blocks at hotels in Georgetown, near the venue. These room blocks provide a discount code, allowing you to lock in a good rate. Georgetown is a quick drive to Lexington, so staying at one of our hotel blocks means it will still be easy for to explore all things Lexington!

Flight

LEX Airport

Lexington Blue Grass Airport (LEX) will be the easiest airport to fly into. You will easily be able to Uber (or Lyft) from LEX to nearby hotels in Lexington and Georgetown (including hotels where we have a room block). Other options include Cincinnati (CVG) or Louisville (SDF). However, if you fly into CVG or SDF, you would likely need to rent a car, since both CVG and SDF are over one hour from Lexington.
