Thomas Jefferson's home and a must-see for any first-time Charlottesville visitors. Nothing bad ever happened here.
Feast!
Walkable from the wedding hotels and a great spot for a gourmet lunch, Feast also is a great place to pick up Virginia-centric (read: salty) gifts for friends and family at home.
Downtown Mall
A blocks-long outdoor pedestrian plaza lined with shops and restaurants, if you're looking to kill time drinking, eating, or shopping, the Downtown Mall is your destination. If you are looking to kill time playing Jai Alai, we just don't know what to tell you.
Blue Mountain Brewery
A bit out of town but a Jack and Alisa favorite, Blue Mountain has great food and beer and is kid and dog friendly. Check out other breweries (Devil's Backbone and Wild Wolf) or Vineyards (Veritas or Afton Mountain) while you're out that way, provided you have a designated driver.

UNESCO World Heritage Site by day, streaking co-ed racetrack by night.

Saturday 8 AM - 12 PM. You all like farmers markets right? This is one of those.
Mas
Another Jack and Alisa favorite, but in a small space with no reservations so expect to wait it out with a cocktail in hand. Not recommended for large groups or those without taste buds.
Bluegrass Grill & Bakery
Jack's top brunch recommendation with mismatched coffee mugs and a vibe that feels like someone's kitchen. More grits than glitz - Snobs need not apply.
