Out of concern for our guests and staff at our venue, in order to attend our wedding you and your plus-ones must be fully vaccinated and boosted. We also ask that guests send in proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 3 days of the wedding. Thanks for your understanding
We will be serving a Mediterranean inspired buffet from mujadra with a yogurt sauce (rice and lentil dish), roasted vegetables, falafel wraps, pasta skewers (tortellini with cheese), garden salad, pasta salad, and a hummus platter with pita bread. Our whole menu is vegetarian; for other dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring something you know you can eat; microwave is available. Dessert will be our favorite treat and we'll keep it at that!
Absolutely! Our wedding will take place at a camp with parking lots.
This year around this time, it was in the high 80s/90s, cooling off a bit come night-time. Camp is surrounded by trees so it stays relatively cool. Also, we have access to both an indoor AC-ed place, as well as an outdoor space to allow for maximum temperature options.
Wear YOUR summer best! Cutesy jumpsuits, a fancy blouse and shorts combo, a dress if you're so inclined, a casual pants and collared shirt situation. Our one requirement is that you feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful. Oh... and minimize the black, if at all possible!
Folks... we do NOT even drink. We plan on enjoying lemonades, and our all-time fave ... WATER! Seriously, water is like all we drink... Side note: NO drinking on facility grounds, so PLEASE do not bring your own alcohol.
The ceremony will be outside under a canopy of tall trees with ample shade. The reception is inside the AIR CONDITIONED dining hall and there will be dancing outside on the patio. The dining hall will be open to guests throughout the wedding.
While the brides and bridal parties are taking pictures, we invite you to explore the different areas of Camp Colton: there is a lake, beautiful bridges over the creek that runs through camp. We also have our favorite backyard games to enjoy!
Camp Colton was the first venue we toured, and after a little consideration it just felt RIGHT. Alicia grew up in a similar camp-type setting, so it felt like an homage to her past. It will be the perfect place to start our new future.
