Things To Do

Go visit some of Alice and Kaleb's favorite and most memorable places from their time studying at UCSB!

Boathouse at Hendry's Beach

2981 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

Kaleb and Alice spent their 2nd year anniversary here! This is also the very special place where Kaleb proposed to Alice :) They have a beautiful private beach and the food here is pretty good. If you want golden hour without the sun setting glare, this is the place!

Lilly's Taqueria

Storke Road, Goleta, CA 93117

Others may disagree, but this is by far Alice's favorite taco place ever! They got eyes, cheeks, tongue, head, and fried intestines street style tacos. Kaleb thought this was his and Alice's first date place, but jokes on him because Alice didn't think it was a date at all!

Nikka Ramen

5701 Calle Real, Goleta, CA 93117

Kaleb's and Alice's official first date spot! This place simmer their pork broth for 24 hours, and you can tell it is rich in flavor because you will for sure get a heart burn after eating here. Worth it!

MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation

125 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Alice once worked here as a museum 'spark,' a role where she ignited passion and curiosity in museum visitors. Fun fact: Sierra, her bridesmaid, helped her land the job! And when Maddy and Bell visited Kaleb in Santa Barbara, Alice took the group here for some fun. It's an interactive museum full of excitement and discovery!

Moby Dick Restaurant

220 Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

Kaleb worked here as a waiter for a couple of years. He recommends their margarita and fries. Fun fact: Kaleb took Alice here on her half birthday the first year they were dating.

Old Mission Santa Barbara

2201 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

During the pandemic, Kaleb and Alice had a socially-distanced picnic at the Rose Garden right outside the mission. Kaleb made his mom's famous chicken salad, and it has since become a staple of their picnic meals.

Campus Point

Santa Barbara, CA 93117

Campus Point is a beautiful beach with nearby trails that lead to Isla Vista. Kaleb took Alice here to surf during the early days of their courtship. Later, this spot also became a favorite for them to kayak between classes.

Sands Beach

Isla Vista, CA 93117

UCSB was known for its best sunsets, and the best spot to watch it is at Sand's Beach cliffs. If you have time, you should grab some food at Isla Vista, then walk to through the college town to Sand's. If you are feeling adventurous, take a beach cruiser and ride through the trail all the way to Sand's Beach. It is a beautiful scenic bike ride!
