Question

Can I invite extra guests or bring a plus one?

Answer

No. The Wedding is strictly invite only. No extra guests can be accommodated at the resort or at the events.

Question

How do we choose our wedding accomodation at YAAN?

Answer

Guests will be invited to stay in a "Grand Lake View" (Jharokha) room at YAAN Wellness Retreat. There are a small number of suites available that will be reserved for the Wedding Party. Please let us know by email (aliceandapoorve@gmail.com) if you have any specific room requirements. Once all guests have RSVP'd, we will forward details about how to pay for accomodation. No online booking is required through the hotel for the 7 & 8th of February. For international guests arriving on the 6th, we will forward further information about booking a room.

Are food, drinks and alcohol included in the acomodation costs?

Answer

Yes, breakfast, lunch and dinner and all drinks (including alcohol) are included in the accomodation costs for 7 & 8th February. Meals will be served either in the restaurants on site, or will form part of events. More information about this will be provided closer to the date.

Will bottled water be available?

Answer

Yes, bottled water will be readily available at YAAN Wellness Retreat.

What kind of food will be available at the Wedding?

Answer

YAAN Wellness Retreat can cater to dietary requirements, so please let us know when you RSVP if you have any specific dietary needs. All meals will feature Indian and Western selections, and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

What is the weather like in February in Udapiur?

Answer

In early February, Udaipur experiences pleasant 'winter' weather, ideal for travel. Average temperatures range from a high of 26°C to a low of 13°C. The days are clear and sunny, with approximately 12 hours of sunlight daily. Rainfall is minimal, with an average of just 7.83 mm and 1 rainy day during the month

Will the wedding events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, all events will be outdoors. Although there will be plenty of shade, guests may like to consider sun protection with sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen. Stiletto wearers amongst the group may also like to consider bringing party shoes that will work with grass.

What do we wear for each event?

Answer

The most important thing to us is that you are comfortable at our wedding. While there are a number of different events, please feel free to wear the same outfits to any/all of the events. Indian or Western attire is welcomed at all events. Below is the dress code for each event. If you would like some help selecting Indian attire for the events, please let us know by email (aliceandapoorve@gmail.com) so that we can send you some links! Haldi - Festive casual - cheerful yellow attire Mehendi & Sangeet - Cocktail dress Wedding Ceremony (Baraat and Phera) - Formal attire (refrain from wearing red) Wedding Reception - Black tie optional (Formal) Guests may choose to change outfits between the wedding ceremony and reception, but this is not necessary.

Are children invited to the Wedding?

Answer

Yes! We would love to have your children at the wedding. Please note that due to constraints on accomodation availability, children under 18 will likely need to share a room with their parents. YAAN provides a futon (floor mattress) for children who are sharing a room with their parents.

How do we get from Udaipur to YAAN Wellness Retreat?

Answer

Once RSVP's are complete, our Wedding Planner will contact you to request details of your flight/accomodation in Udaipur. They will then arrange transfer from Udaipur to YAAN Wellness Retreat (approximately a 45 minute drive) with you.

Will the events start on time?

Answer

Yes, the events will start promptly. Please ensure you are at each event at the nominated time (found in "events" and on your schedule).

Are all the Wedding Events on site at YAAN?

Answer

Yes, all the Wedding events will be located onsite at YAAN Wellness Resort. Golf carts will be available to assist guests to the different event locations.

Is YAAN wheelchair/pram accessible?

Answer

Please let us know if you have reduced mobility so we can accomodate you in a room that works for you. There will be golf carts on site to ensure all guests can easily access the restaurants and events.

Can we arrange babysitters for the night events?

Answer

Please let us know by email (aliceandapoorve@gmail.com) if you think a babysitter would help you enjoy the evening events at The Wedding. We can investigate this option on your behalf.

A note on gifts

Answer

Your gift to us is your attendance at our Wedding. Gifts in addition to your presence are not necessary.

Will I require any vaccinations to travel to India?

Answer

We recommend you consult with you GP or travel doctor well in advance of travelling to India. You may require vaccination against Hepatitis A and Typhoid before travelling, in addition to to being up to date with your routine vaccinations.

Who should we contact for more information regarding the wedding?

We hope this website will provide most of the information you require for the wedding, but if there are other things you need to know, please email aliceandapoorve@gmail.com in the first instance. Closer to the date, we will add the details of the Wedding Planner and the Wedding party so they can address urgent concerns.
