Alex and Michelle met in June of 2015 while Michelle was on a trip with her aunt, Consuelo. Initially, they planned to visit Mexico City, but those plans fell through, so Consuelo suggested they visit Antigua, Guatemala. Before they left for Antigua, Michelle called her mom to let her know their travel plans had changed. Michelle's mom then took it upon herself to contact an old childhood friend via facebook who could possibly host them during their stay in Antigua. This childhood friend turned out to be Alex's mother. Michelle and Consuelo received hospitality from his family for four days, and four days was all it took for Alex to fall head over heels for Michelle. Before Michelle left Antigua, Alex made sure to get her contact information to stay in touch. As soon as she got home, Alex made it his duty to make sure Michelle knew he was interested and wasn't going to give up until she agreed to get to know each other and in the future, give them a chance . . . despite the distance. Ten months later, Consuelo became very ill, so Michelle and her mom made a quick trip to Mexico to visit her before her passing. Alex too, made a trip to Mexico to say his goodbyes to Consuelo. His reason being: "If it weren't for Consuelo, I wouldn't have met Michelle and for that, I'm thankful." So he drove eight hours up to Mexico for just one day (he had to work the next day) and left right after. That sweet gesture meant a lot to Michelle. Six months later, Michelle and Alex decided to make it official, so Michelle and her parents planned a trip to Antigua. That was an emotional trip, it was the first time Michelle's mom and Alex's mom saw each other again after more than 35 years. Neither moms thought they'd see each other again, let alone that their kids would meet and fall in love. Fast forward to five years and a world wide pandemic that delayed their initial wedding plans, and now they're more than ready to tie the knot!

Alex & Michelle se conocieron en Junio del 2015 mientras Michelle viajaba con su tía, Consuelo. Inicialmente, iban a visitar la ciudad de México, pero los planes no funcionaron, entonces decidieron conocer la Antigua. Michelle llamo a su mamá para avisarle del cambio de viaje. Al saber eso, la mamá de Michelle se comunico con una amiga suya de la infancia por Facebook para ver si podia hospedar a Michelle y Consuelo. Los padres de Alex las recibieron hospitalariamente por cuatro días y tan solo cuatro días le llevo a Alex enamorarse de Michelle. Antes de que se fueran de la Antigua, Alex muy inteligentemente se aseguró de anotar los datos de Michelle para mantenerse en comunicación. En cuanto Michelle regreso a casa, Alex no perdió el tiempo para decirle a Michelle que estaba interesado en ella y que no se iba a rendir hasta que ella estuviera de acuerdo en conocerse mejor y en un futuro, aceptase ser su novia… pese a la distancia. Diez meses después, Consuelo se enfermo gravemente, así que Michelle y su mamá hicieron un viaje de emergencia a México para verla. Alex se enteró y también hizo un viaje de emergencia para despedirse de Consuelo. Su razón fue: “si no hubiera sido por Consuelo, nunca habría conocido a Michelle, ella la trajo a la antigua y por eso estoy muy agradecido”. Así que viajó ocho horas en auto hasta llegar a México tan solo para estar un día (tenía que trabajar al día siguiente). Ese dulce gesto resulto ser muy significativo para Michelle. Seis meses después, Alex y Michelle decidieron ser novios oficialmente, así que Michelle y sus padres hicieron un viaje a La Antigua. Este viaje resulto ser muy emocional ya que la mamá de Michelle y la mamá de Alex pudieron verse después de más de 35 años! Ninguna de ellas se imaginó volverse a ver, ni mucho menos que sus hijos se conocieran y enamoraran. Avanzando en el tiempo al día de hoy y una pandemia mundial que atraso los planes iniciales que tenían y ahora están más que listos para casarse!
