Kansas City's finest art museum. Definitely worth checking out. It is also near the Plaza, which has lots of shops and restaurants to explore. This is closer to downtown and so would be about a 25 minute drive from the venue.

If you are not BBQ-ed out from Friday night, Joe's (formerly known as Oklahoma Joe's) is one of the more famous KC BBQ joints. The original is downtown in a gas station, but the Overland Park one is just as good.
