Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 2, 2024 right here through the site! Please also let us know directly if your travel plans change after you RSVP, as the site may not make that obvious. If you would like to reserve a hotel room through our discounted hotel blocks, you can find the links under our Travel & Accommodations tab. The deadline for the Courtyard Marriott is 8/1/24 and for the Embassy Suites is 8/8/24, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Question

Why is your wedding on a Friday?

Answer

Most of our guests are coming from out of town, and it's a long weekend, so we want to provide flexibility for guests to wander, explore, and return home at their leisure.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The short answer is yes; we are kid-friendly! Since many guests will be traveling to CA, we know finding childcare is not straightforward. If you are local, we request that you consider childcare in an effort to seat adult friend groups together, but we are flexible about this so just reach out if you have questions.

Question

Why Novato, CA?

Answer

The wedding is in a region generally known as Wine Country, with Sonoma and Napa Valley as the most familiar names here. According to ChatGPT: "You can enjoy a plethora of activities beyond the vineyards. Embark on scenic wine tasting tours across Napa Valley and Sonoma, exploring world-renowned wineries and sampling exquisite local wines. Indulge in gourmet dining experiences at farm-to-table restaurants, savoring the region's fresh and innovative cuisine. If you enjoy the outdoors, take advantage of the picturesque landscapes by hiking or biking through the rolling hills and lush valleys. For a more relaxed pace, stroll through charming towns like St. Helena and Healdsburg, where boutique shopping, art galleries, and cozy cafes await. Additionally, you can take a hot air balloon ride to experience breathtaking aerial views of the vineyards at sunrise, creating unforgettable memories."

Question

I've never been to Northern CA before. What else is there to do there?

Answer

So much! Be sure to check out our Things To Do tab for highlights. Nearby cities include San Francisco (< 1 hour), Berkeley/Oakland (< 1 hour), Davis/Sacramento (< 1.5 hours), and San Jose (1-2 hours). Well-known destinations within a 2-3 hour radius include Lake Tahoe, Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, Carmel, and Big Sur. If you're feeling especially adventurous and have extra time, Yosemite National Park is about 4 hours away and one of the most majestic places we've ever been!
