The largest metro airport in the area is only about 10 miles from our home base for the weekend. Traffic and congestion can be a major issue in LA so would recommend flying at off-peak hours if at all possible.

Santa Monica's stunning full-service hotel with a rooftop pool and bar. We've negotiated a discounted rate of $429/night and will be staying at the Proper for the weekend. Convenience, convenience, convenience. We've negotiated a discounted rate of $259/night at the newly-updated Courtyard Santa Monica. This is great for folks who want a more urban environment and want to bop around Santa Monica for food options. Guests will be less than a block from the Promenade and about a dozen food and drink options. Note: there is no hotel bar but there's many less than a block away.
