It all started on the 300-level value deck of the Coliseum, the Oakland A's infamous stadium, best known for its "old-school charm." The seats were so high, that you could almost see above the clouds. Alex, off a couple of seasons living and working in Huntsville, AL was working in the Oakland Athletics media department, and Tessa, a guns-blazing t-shirt-throwing gal who ran around with the camera crew. On this day -- August 7th (ish), 2014 -- Tessa was giving away a Stephen Vogt autographed baseball bat to a kid named Kenzo that day. From there, Alex came over and said hi briefly. Despite never meeting running into each other before, they continued to bump into each other that homestand. With a serendipitous assist from the OG communication app Tinder, they exchanged numbers. Shortly thereafter, Tessa solo trekked around Alaska and Alex left for Melbourne, Australia. It never seemed as if their paths would cross again, but they continued to stay in touch. Everyday. For three straight months. Fast forward eight years, four states, a dog, and TV appearance later, they're ready to celebrate with all of their closest friends and family.
