Matron of Honor
Megan is the sister I never had. We are first cousins and grew up doing EVERYTHING together. From calling each other Angelica and Chuckie, to her making me eat a macaroni and cheese crayon on a cracker, to late nights out drinking and fighting with each other over NOTHING and of course, giving me my favorite little girl to spoil for the rest of my life, Emma Lee. Meg has been there for so many of my firsts that I could not imagine getting married without her by my side.
Best Man
Desmond was my first best friend I ever had. From quoting movies like Angels in the In Zone, "They got my jersey dirty" to growing older and realizing that I should have been a lot nicer to my little brother when we were younger because he is bigger than me now... D recently moved to Texas and I have enjoyed getting to see him and my dog niece, Medusa a lot more. D has always had my back and been right by my side, literally, we slept in the same bed for 13 years of our lives...I couldn't be more happy to have him as my best man on such a special day for me.
Maid of Honor
Kelsey has been my Partner in Crime since 2002. My high school and college experiences would have been NOTHING without her in them. We have SO many CRAZY stories to share with our future children...then again, maybe we won't.. ha-ha. Kelsey is one of the most caring, compassionate and REALEST people you will ever meet. She will always be honest with you and tell you the truth, whether you want to hear it or not. Kelsey is best known for her infectious laugh, her huge heart, and being a beer pong champion. You can expect she will be the first one on the dance floor, and the last one to leave it. Everyone needs a Kelsey in their life!
Groomsman
Chad has been one of the most dedicated friends I have ever had. He is a very hard worker and I have always admired how hard he works for something he sets his heart on. Not to mention, he is the World's Greatest Barber. When we were younger, I had the privilege of being his guinea pig when he was just starting out cutting hair. He would try out all kinds of different hair cuts/experiments on me. Being the good friend that Chad has always been, Chad would make time to come to my hotel room the night before a game and give me a fresh Game Day haircut/design. I am grateful that Chad has traveled all the way from Florida to stand with me on this special day.
Bridesmaid
Mary Anne is my sister-in-law. I also consider her my sister from another Mr. From the moment we met, she treated me like a little sis. We’ve since shared late-nights out changing our names to hide our identity’s and even getting into fights with random girls after being at a bar for only 15 minutes. Don’t worry, flurries and roundhouse kicks were given. As we have gotten older, we enjoy drinking wine, talking about Vanderpump Rules, and of course, true crime. Mary Anne has an infectious laugh and can always make you laugh with her silly jokes and endless sarcasm.
Groomsman
Bobby came into my life my junior year of high school when he moved to Garden City from Texas. We instantly connected through our love of sports. Like all of my friends, Bobby has a high-intensity work ethic and inspires me to stay fit. Bobby and I have a friendship where we can go months and even years without seeing each other, but pick up right where we left off every time we reconnect. Bobby is a great guy with a big heart. Happy to have him stand with Alex and I on our special day.
Bridesmaid
Emily has been such a great friend to me for almost two decades. We first met during summer tennis lessons and our friendship quickly blossomed from there. Emily was two grade levels above me, but that never stopped us from hanging out. We didn't care what people thought about our friendship because we always had so much fun together. Back in the day, Em was one of my favorite people to go out with because GIRL COULD SHAKE IT! It was always a good time when we were out and about. We have so many amazing memories together and it has been so fun watching us grow into young women. I had the privilege of standing by her side as she married the man of her dreams and now she gets to stand by mine as I marry the man of my dreams.
Groomsman
Joe and I met at K-State. He played defense, so he was on the opposite side of the ball as me, but, somehow I managed to become great friends with a defensive player. Joe and I got injured a week apart from each other and really started to grow a friendship with each other through the rehab. It was the one blessing I had from getting injured. I moved to Texas and became even closer to Joe, considering he is right down the road from me in San Antonio. I am glad he will be by our side on our special day. I know he is a friend I can count of for life.
Bridesmaid
My sweet sweet Baillie. I seriously cannot imagine walking down the aisle without her. Baillie is one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met. The way she leads her life with such grace and love for others is something I have always admired about her. Any person that meets Baillie falls in love with her sense of humor. My favorite memories with Baillie include Lala’s (head rubs) and having intense and passionate conversations that end up turning into full blown therapy sessions. She is the easiest person to talk to and I am so glad to have her as a forever friend.
Groomsman
I met Aubrey at K-State as well. He was the hardest working wideout that K-State had when I transfered from Minnesota. Instantly, I knew he was someone I wanted on my side. Not only has Quarles has my back since day one, he has got to be one of the funniest characters I have ever met from day one. For example, sometimes we would leave a meeting after just getting chewed out and Quarles would always find a way to lighten the mood with his sense of humor. I'm glad he will be making the long travel from Colorado be with us on our special day.
Bridesmaid
I met this beautiful soul four years ago. We both accepted our first teaching jobs at the same school and on the same grade level together. We instantly clicked and became forever friends. We have cried together, laughed our butts off together, and have grown into better teachers and human beings together. Some of our best memories together occur after hours during an HH or weekend celebration where the wine pours a little too strong and the conversations/story telling gets witty and deep! I am so thankful that Kate came into my life. I can't imagine living in Dallas without her friendship and leadership!
Groom
Ed and I became really close after I transfered to Kansas State from Minnesota. If I ever had free time outside of football, I would usually be enjoying time with Ed. After I was done playing football at Kansas State, I was still living in Manhattan and would go to the gym every night with Ed and workout. Ed has one of the most interesting personalities out of my friends. He can definitely lighten the mood and put you in a good mood. We have a friendship where we don't have to talk everyday, but can pick up right where we left off anytime we do connect.
Usher
Michael is my older brother (bride). We have gotten super close over the years. However, when I was younger, that was a different story. I was always his guinea pig for practicing all of his WWE wrestling moves. I hated it. I would be watching TV and would all of a sudden end up in a headlock on the floor. As we got older, Michael moved away, and the head locks and daily arguments/fights ended and I kinda missed them. After Michael did some growing up, he became a lot nicer and fun to be around (haha). He has worked extremely hard to get where he is at and he has an amazing work ethic. I am so glad that God chose him to be my big brother. I am so excited to share this special day with him!
Usher
Thomas is my little brother (bride). There is so much I can say about him. He is one of my best friends and I trust him with every bone in my body. He has always had his big sisters back. I will never forget the day our parents told us they were pregnant with Tom. Michael and I were so mad (more jealous than anything). Now, I couldn't imagine our lives without him. Growing up, we fought ALL OF THE TIME. I might be his big sister, but he sure knew how to push my buttons (mentally and physically); we got into some serious fights over the years haha. Tom has done a lot of growing up and we have gotten extremely close. He's got a big heart, cares deeply for others and loves even harder. I am so glad to have Tom as my little brother and to have him be a part of our special day.
