Shuttles from both the Hyatt and Bernardus will be available to bring guests to the ceremony and reception locations, and return guests back to the Hyatt at the end of the evening.Those staying elsewhere may want to take a Lyft or an Uber or may consider driving themselves. Although you might expect August in California to be hot, the weather in Carmel delivers a Mediterranean climate and experiences moderate weather all year long. Summer mornings often deliver a foggy marine layer blanketing the coastline, which usually clears by the afternoon.
The ceremony will be indoors at the Carmel Mission with an outdoor reception following at Bernardus Lodge. The reception will take place on grass so we encourage you to keep that in mind especially when selecting your footwear - think block heels over stilettos!
As we are all living though this uncertain and ever-changing time with COVID-19, we are monitoring the news carefully. We are prepared to take every precaution necessary to make our wedding safe for our guests, which includes requiring that all our guests are fully vaccinated (and boosted!). As our wedding day approaches, we will communicate any updates, changes, or additional precautions with our guests via email.
