Aerial adventure park, Alpine Slides, Scenic Chairlift, Ziplines and more- great place to entertain the entire family!
Sylvan Lake
The lake area offers picnic places, rock climbing, small rental boats, swimming, and hiking trails and is one of Maleah's favorite spots! Hike Harney Peak- the highest point East of the Rocky Mountains at 7,242ft, or stroll among the Granite Spires famous to this area on the Cathedral Spires Trail- Both favorites of Maleah :) This is great to do before/after visiting Mt. Rushmore ---------------------------------- Also the famed spot of of the Hidden Treasure in the movie National Treasure 2
Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway
This road offers some of the most dramatic natural and historic features in the Black Hills. It consists of a loop made up of four numbered highways but if you are to do only one, we recommend SD 87 or the Needles Highway.
Custer State Park Wildlife Loop Road
Even if you don't have time to drive the loop, be sure to check out Custer State Park so you can see that South Dakotan Buffalo!
Prairie Berry Winery
A great spot for lunch during your day of sight seeing and why not try some wine made locally at the same time! Enjoy five free tastings during your visit, with their most popular wine made from Rhubarb.
Alpine Inn
Built in 1884, this historic hotel and restaurant is a great lunch or dinner spot after you visit the sites!
Hiking in Spearfish Canyon
Most famous for its fall foliage but still beautiful year round! It is a great spot to strech your legs and see the hills!
Deadwood
The famed Deadwood Historic Town is only 20 minutes from Terry Peak. Click on the link below to find further details on everything from ATVs, Horseriding, museums, casinos and more. So much to do, so little time!
George S. Mickelson Trail
A beautiful trail for both bikers or walkers that weaves its way through the Black Hills and is a famous Rail to Trail conversion meaning this was part of the old rail road systems (and the inclines are never steeper than 3%- whoohoo!) You can rent bikes nearby in Deadwood and jump right on the trail or rent from Hill City and shuttle to one of my favorite sections below, most bike rental stores will include a free shuttle. --Crazy Horse to Custer (about 14 miles all downhill!) --Dumont to Rochford (10 miles) or Mystic (18 miles and lots of tunnels!) _______________________________________________ Fun Fact: Maleah ran her first half marathon and full marathon on this trail!

Here's your hole in the wall bar serving up some of the best burgers in the Black Hills and only 10 minutes from Terry Peak. They're a favorite of Maleah and Alex!
