Travel Note
Houston has two airports: William P. Hobby (HOU), 11 miles to the south of Rice campus and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), 24 miles to the north. Intercontinental is a hub of global and national travel. Hobby is a hub for regional, domestic travel. Together they offer 1,000 flights a day in and out of Houston. Most major rental car companies have locations at both airports. Uber, Lyft, and taxis provide ground transportation services from both airports.
